Suzanne Rog is a Certified Director/Teacher for Preschool who has lived in Southern Maryland her whole life. Most recently she worked at Margaret Brent Middle School. A member of Faith Bible Church she is married to Matthew and has 4 wonderful children, the youngest of which, attends KCA. In her free time she loves to camp, sing, and spend time with her grandson.
Lacy received her B.A. in Psychology from Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi in 2002 and her M.A. in Clinical Psychology while enrolled in a Psy.D program at Alliant International University in 2006, with an interest in Neuropsychology. She has taught children with autism, 2nd grade, and kindergarten, and has a background in behavioral therapy. This is her 6th year teaching in a typical classroom setting. Lacy is originally from South Texas and lives here with her husband, who serves in the US Navy, and their 4 children who also attend KCA- Samson (8th), Anslea (7th), Harrison (4th), and Luke (1st.) Lacy has gained valuable experience in the Science of Reading and brain-based learning in recent years and is passionate about literacy for all! Her other passions include music, singing, and spending time with her family. Lacy and her family are members of Patuxent Baptist Church.
Christina Pamblanco and her family moved to St.Mary's County about three years ago from Florida. She is a graduate of University of Central Florida with her Bachelor's in Elementary Education and she has a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Saint Leo University. She began teaching in 2005 in the primary grades and has served in administrative roles as well. Her experience in education includes public, charter, and now private school education. She started at KCA in 2019 on the middle school team as a 6th grade teacher. Christina attends Leonardtown Baptist Church where her husband serves as the Senior Pastor. She enjoys traveling, reading, scrapbooking, and caring for her family's garden and chickens.She and her husband Jason have been married for over 18 years and have one child named Judah.
Mrs. Smith earned her B.S. in Elementary Education from Mississippi State University and her
M.S. in School Counseling from Liberty University. Over the years she has taught kindergarten, middle school, and junior college classes. Mrs. Smith is married to Walt, and they have a son, Garrison, who is KCA lifer and 2022 graduate. In 2009, the Navy brought their family to southern Maryland, where they eventually decided to retire. Mrs. Smith began volunteering at KCA and soon started working part time as a counselor. She collaborated with parents and teachers to create a fantastic school experience for students. She enjoys reading, kayaking, and Disney. As a member of SouthPoint Church, she is one of the leaders of the Stephen Ministry team, where she enjoys helping others connect to Christ.
Lisa E. holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Fairmont State College in Fairmont, WV. She has many years of teaching experience including teaching for Calvert Co. public schools, homeschooling her own 3 children, and teaching homeschooling classes at Homeschool Christian Academy in St. Mary’s county. She began teaching Kindergarten here at KCA in 2019. In her free time, she enjoys taking walks, and spending time with her family.
Julie (Ralon) Allen is a 2005 graduate of Cairn University with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Elementary Education and a Bachelor's of Science degree in Biblical Studies. Mrs. Allen is a southern Maryland native. She attended KCA (LPCS) from 1st-12th grades (“a lifer”), graduating with the third graduating class in 2001. She has taught second grade, kindergarten-second grade art, substituted in Pre-K, has been an aide in first, second, third, and fifth grades, and is now back in second grade. She is married to Peter, whom she met at KCA (LPCS). Their two children, Annabelle and Matthew, attend KCA. She and her family attend Faith Bible Church in Mechanicsville, MD.
Alyssa Mitchell is the 4 th grade teacher at KCA. She is the mother of two KCA students and is
married to her husband, Clayton. Mrs. Mitchell loves fostering kittens and also enjoys playing in
an adult dodgeball league and sewing in her spare time.
Joanne H. Sobola received her Bachelor's degree in Education and Special Education from The College of Notre Dame of Maryland, (now Notre Dame University of Baltimore.) She received a Master's degree In Transitional Services from George Washington University and completed a post Master's Program through John's Hopkin's University in the area of Autism. After retiring from SMCPS, she joined the team at KCA where she taught first grade and later 7/8th grade Bible and History. Currently she is loving her time in Kindergarten! She is a Mom of 5 and a Grandma to 1. She has had three children graduate from KCA.
Angel Biggar is one of our 2nd grade teachers, and is married to Mr. Ian Biggar, who is a former
KCA employee (and occasional current sub). Angel is originally from North Carolina and spent
time teaching English in Cambodia. Angel began teaching at KCA in 2022. In her free time, she
enjoys reading, hiking, and planning fun activities for her students.
1st & 2nd Aide
Lauren is from Pensacola, Florida, and a graduate of Judson College in Marion, Alabama where she competed on an Intercollegiate Horse Show Association team. She is married to Seth, and they have three children, Maddie (4th), Levi (1st), and Benjamin (2 yo). The Marine Corps moved the family to the area in the summer of 2022. Her educational experience includes two years in public education, teaching in both ESE and general education classrooms, and two years in a classical school. This year, at KCA, is her fifth year as a classroom teacher, and fourth year in a first grade classroom. In her spare time, she is working on her master’s degree in elementary education from Liberty University and hopes to get back into horseback riding.
Robert Fillis was called to move to Southern Maryland from the Eastern Shore of Maryland in August of 2022. He graduated from Salisbury University with a Bachelor's of Science in elementary education with a minor in creative arts in 2015. He has worked in education for eight years, is in his third year of teaching with this being his first year in private school. Prior to coming to KCA, he worked in Wicomico county in special education and taught third grade in Accomack county. Robert teaches third grade at KCA. He goes to church at Leonardtown Baptist. His hobbies include playing guitar and playing music with other people, reading, technology, and learning about culinary arts.
Leslie is a lifelong resident of St. Mary’s County. She attended Salisbury University and received her BA degree in Liberal Studies with a minor in Psychology. In 2005, she began working at KCA as a Lower School Aide and Lunchroom/Recess Monitor. Over the years she has added to her duties and now serves as Aide Coordinator, Test Coordinator, and Office Secretary. Leslie enjoys reading, organizing (everything and anything!), going to Disney and taking the camper out with family and friends. Leslie attends Faith Bible Church where she serves in the preschool and senior events ministries. She and her husband Brian have an adult daughter, Emily, a KCA class of 2017 “lifer” graduate.
Ann Gantt is a life long resident of St. Mary's County. She has been married for 26 years and has 3 children (one of whom graduated from KCA in 2017 and one who currently is in middle school). She is a grandmother of one and one on the way. Her background is in Early Childhood Education and is currently working on her Bachelor's Degree. She attends St. Frances Xavier Church in Newtowne Neck. In her spare time she enjoys reading, boating, and being with her family.
