Suzanne Rog is a Certified Director/Teacher for Preschool who has lived in Southern Maryland her whole life. Most recently she worked at Margaret Brent Middle School. A member of Faith Bible Church she is married to Matthew and has 4 wonderful children, the youngest of which, attends KCA. In her free time she loves to camp, sing, and spend time with her grandson.
LaShonna Singleton holds a B.S Elementary Education from ---. She started at KCA in 2019 after teaching in Guam. Outside of school she enjoys hiking, camping, reading a good book, traveling to new places, and spending time with her family. She attends South Point Church where she helps with the children’s ministry on Sundays.
Kanawha Mack earned her BS ED Elementary Education degree from The University of Phoenix Overseas Campus and completed her student teaching at Dahlgren School in Dahlgren, VA. In 2005 her family transferred from Pax River NAS to MCAS Beaufort, South Carolina where she worked as a medical receptionist at Beaufort Memorial Hospital. She then transferred to Yokosuka, Japan, where she was self-employed as a Home Child Care Provider. Most recently she taught 5th grade at Our Lady Star of the Sea School. She is a member of Good Samaritan Lutheran Church. She enjoys reading, cooking/baking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She is married to Robert, and the mother of 4 children (3 of which currently attend KCA) and has 3 adult stepchildren.
Mrs. Smith earned her B.S. in Elementary Education from Mississippi State University and her M.S. in School Counseling from Liberty University. She is certified in both MS and MD. Over the years she has taught kindergarten, middle school, and junior college classes. In 2009, the Navy brought her and her and her husband, Walt, to Southern MD, where they decided to retire. When their son, Garrison started kindergarten, Mrs. Smith began volunteering at KCA and soon started working part time, partnering with parents and teachers to create a fantastic school experience. She enjoys reading, kayaking, and everything Disney. As a member of SouthPoint Church, she is one of the leaders of the Stephen Ministry team where she she enjoys helping others connect to Christ.
Lisa Everly is a graduate of Fairmont College in WV with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. She brings to KCA 19 years experience, both 1st grade with Calvert County Schools, and with the Homeschool Christian Academy. She also homeschooled her 3 kids through high school. In her free time she likes to bike, swim, take walks & kayak with her family. She attends Calvert Life Church.
Kelsey Payne holds a degree in Elementary Education from Salisbury University. She is in her third year teaching First Grade at KCA. Previously she taught in Wicomico County for her undergraduate internship. Born and raised in St. Mary’s County, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, participating in bible studies, and attending concerts. She is a member at Redeeming Grace Baptist Church, where she teaches in Children's Ministry for grade levels K-1. She is the daughter of Holly Snyder, sister to two brothers; one of whom currently attends KCA.
Diana Harelson is a graduate of the University of North Florida (B.S. Elementary Education) and State University of New York at Potsdam (Masters in Literacy). Before coming to KCA, she lived in Italy, Alabama, Florida, New York, Germany, and Virginia as a military family. She has taught 3rd through 6th grade in both public schools and Christian schools, most recently Millennial Christian School in Jacksonville, Florida. She and her family of 5 attend South Point Church and her three children attend KCA. When she’s not teaching, Diana enjoys hiking, reading, and traveling.
3rd Gr. Aide
Eui Song is a native of Washington State, where she taught 1st and 2nd grade for 10 years in the Edmonds School District. She holds a Bachelors in Social Work and Masters in Teaching from The University of Washington. In 2012 she moved to St. Mary’s Co. and has worked at Evergreen Elementary and now KCA for the past few years. When she’s not in the classroom, Eui enjoys hiking, reading, eating good food and drinking good coffee.
Hannah Miller holds a Bachelor of Science from Regent University, 2019. She grew up in St. Mary's County and graduated from KCA. Before coming to KCA she taught elementary school in Chesapeake, Virginia. She enjoys spending her free time reading and playing with her dogs.
Bev Woods is a graduate of Indiana University Southeast and University of Central Florida. She holds both a B.S. in Education and an M.Ed in Administration and Supervision. Over the years she has taught in Kentucky, Florida, Ohio, Virginia, and Maryland, both Kindergarten and first grades. She has also been an Elementary School administrator. She is married to Danny and they have a daughter Lucy, who is in the 7th grade at KCA! Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, bargain shopping and drinking coffee on my porch with great friends! She is a member of Faith Bible Church.
4th Gr. Aide
Windy Prasada-Rao is a graduate of the University of Richmond with a degree in Business Administration. She lived in Richmond, Virginia for most of her life where she worked in the non-profit field, specializing in Public and Government Communications. In 2013 she moved to St. Mary’s County with her husband Dan,and daughter Maddy who is in the sixth grade at KCA. Although a majority of her free time is spent supporting her daughter with her competitive cheer team, Windy also enjoys quality time with her family and relaxing at the beach.
Leah Tobler is a graduate of St. Mary's College of Maryland where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Human Studies. She has taught 1st grade at Lexington Park Christian School (now KCA) and the Texas Christian Academy. She has also been a homeschooler, a preschool aide, and a home/hospital teacher for the St. Mary's Co. Public Schools. In her free time she enjoys going for walks, boating, and paddle boarding. She is married and has two children who both attend KCA.
Gina Carver holds a B.S. degree in Early Childhood Development from Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington. She is originally from Memphis TN, and has lived in Washington State, Florida, and Alabama as a Navy spouse. She is a member of Leonardtown Baptist Church and enjoys reading, cooking and spending time with her family. She is married to James and they have three children who attend KCA: Caroline, Lily Kate, and Ella.
Leslie is a lifelong resident of St. Mary’s County. She attended Salisbury University and received her BA degree in liberal studies and psychology. In 2005, she began working at KCA as a lower school aide and lunchroom/recess monitor. Over the years she has added to her duties and now serves as aide coordinator and test coordinator. Leslie enjoys reading, organizing (everything and anything!), and going to Disney with her family. Leslie attends Faith Bible Church. She and her husband Brian have one daughter, Emily, who is a KCA “lifer” graduate and a current senior at Regent University.
6th Gr. Aide
Cherise Franklin graduated in 1997 from a private Christian high school in Alamogordo, NM. After moving to Maryland in 2012, Cherise began volunteering at KCA when her older son, Thomas, started 6th grade. She is now an aide for the two 6th grade classes. She also has a younger son, Trevin, who attends Green Holly Elementary School in the SAIL (Supporting Academics and Independent Living) program where he gets support for his autism. Mrs. Franklin enjoys being a part of several ministries at her church, Lexington Park Baptist Church. She helps with AWANA, cooks meals for members in need, sings in the choir, and part of the praise team. She is a Certified Medical Assistant.
