Upper School Principal - Job Description

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHER   The King’s Christian Academy is seeking to hire an elementary teacher for the upcoming school year.  Qualified individuals must be a Christian with a personal and active relationship with Christ. He/she should desire to continue to grow in faith and live it out on a daily basis. He/she must be devoted to prayerfully work with administration, faculty, students, and parents to develop and maintain programs, lessons, and environments that proclaim who Jesus is while also seeking academic excellence.   Personal Qualifications  Be deeply committed to a consistent daily walk with Jesus Christ. Attend daily devotions and prayer. Possess the ability to work gracefully with parents, students, and other school staff to develop a unified and successful education program. Demonstrate the ability to accept and carry out responsibilities and make competent, professional decisions. Partner with families to ensure a successful, God-honoring educational experience for their students.   Qualifications  Hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Current ACSI and/or State Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education preferred. Two or more years of classroom teaching experience preferred. Knowledge of computer technology required.   Job Description  The elementary teacher will provide classroom instruction, depending on grade level. Plans and implements a program that follows the approved curriculum standards, goals, and objectives. Must have computer skills to employ computer programs to post grades and communicate with parents. Must also have a willingness and ability to assist in total school programs and extra-curricular activities. Maintain clear, open, and professional communication with parents. To work with the administration to keep parents adequately informed of student discipline. Integrate Biblical principles and perspectives throughout all curriculums from a Biblical worldview. Ability to meet state and federal requirements, including background check and fingerprinting.

HIGH SCHOOL HISTORY TEACHER   Job description Job Overview The King’s Christian Academy is seeking a passionate and dedicated High School History Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching history to high school students, fostering a positive learning environment, and inspiring students to grow both academically and personally. As a Christ-centered school, we teach from a biblical worldview and seek educators who are committed to integrating faith and learning in meaningful ways. Responsibilities •Develop and implement history curriculum that meets academic standards and reflects a biblical perspective. •Create engaging lesson plans using a variety of instructional strategies and design principles. •Assess student progress through diverse evaluation methods and provide constructive feedback. •Foster a supportive and respectful classroom environment that encourages participation, critical thinking, and creativity. •Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding academic progress and classroom activities. •Collaborate with fellow educators to support student success and share best practices. •Utilize library and research resources to enhance classroom instruction and student learning. •Stay current with educational trends, methods, and professional development opportunities. HIGH SCHOOL ELA TEACHER   Job description Job Summary The King’s Christian Academy is seeking a passionate and experienced full-time or part-time English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher to join our educational team. This position includes teaching high school ELA and dual enrollment courses in partnership with an accredited college or university. The ideal candidate will foster a Christ-centered classroom environment that encourages academic excellence, critical thinking, and spiritual growth. Applicants must be committed to teaching from a biblical worldview and integrating faith into their instruction. Duties •Develop and deliver engaging ELA instruction for high school students, including dual enrollment classes that meet college-level standards. •Create lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and incorporate biblical principles into content and discussions. •Guide students in developing strong reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills. •Assess student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback. •Facilitate classroom discussions that encourage critical thinking, thoughtful dialogue, and a Christian perspective on literature and media. •Maintain open and effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues. •Collaborate with faculty and administrators to support cross-curricular learning initiatives and school-wide goals. •Ensure all dual enrollment requirements, such as grading policies and documentation, are fulfilled in coordination with the partnering college/university. •Uphold school policies and model Christian character in and outside the classroom. ASSISTANT BOOKKEEPER - PART TIME   Job description The King’s Christian Academy (KCA) is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Assistant Bookkeeper to join our Business Office team. This part-time position plays a vital role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the school, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and timely processing of financial data. The Assistant Bookkeeper will work closely with the Business Manager to uphold the school’s financial integrity while serving KCA’s mission of academic excellence and Christian character development. Key Responsibilities Accounts Receivable: •Assist with processing tuition payments, fees, and other receivables. •Monitor and follow up on overdue accounts. •Assist with FACTS tuition management system. Accounts Payable: •Assist with processing vendor invoices and payments. •Maintain vendor files. Payroll Support: •Prepare and process payroll. Financial Reporting and Reconciliation: •Reconcile bank and credit card statements monthly. •Support the preparation of financial reports for the Business Manager and Head of School. •Assist with audits and annual financial reviews. General Administrative Support: •Maintain organized and accurate financial records and filing systems. •Assist with responding to financial inquiries from staff, parents, and vendors. •Collaborate with the Business Manager on special projects as needed. Qualifications •Minimum of an associate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (bachelor’s degree preferred). •2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience. •Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. •Payroll experience required: familiarity with Paychex preferred. •Familiarity with nonprofit or school accounting is a plus. •Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. •Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. •Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold the highest level of integrity. •Commitment to the values and mission of The King’s Christian Academy. SCHOOL BUS DRIVER (accepting applications) The King’s Christian Academy is currently seeking full-time School Bus Drivers for morning and afternoon routes for PreK – 12th-grade students. Preferred candidates should possess a valid CDL with “P” and “S” endorsements. We are willing to train the ideal candidate. Hired individuals will be fingerprinted and will complete both the state and FBI background checks.
