Chapel Skits

DRAMA CLASS

TAUGHT BY COURTNEY BARROWCLOUGH

KCA offers a wide variety of dramatic opportunities for all ages.

In the lower school, students perform in skits during class chapels throughout the year and are all included in the Christmas Musicale in December.

In the upper school, Drama may be taken as a class in middle and high school where students learn about dramatic performance through history as well as a basic understanding of modern stage terminology. Students have an opportunity to practice the skills needed to successfully speak in front of a group with specific emphasis on preparation, projection, articulation, rate of delivery, and confidence in front of an audience. Drama class requires an after school commitment as a part of each student’s grade.
