TAUGHT BY MONIQUE JONES
The Visual Arts program at KCA encourages students to develop creativity, imagination, and artistic skill while learning to use their talents to glorify God. Through a variety of hands-on projects and artistic experiences, students explore different forms of visual expression in a supportive and engaging environment.
Students are introduced to a wide range of artistic techniques and media including drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, design, and crafts. As students grow, they learn important artistic concepts such as color theory, composition, perspective, shading, texture, and creative problem-solving while developing their own artistic style and confidence.
Artwork created throughout the year is often displayed during Fine Arts events, showcases, and special school programs, giving students the opportunity to share their creativity with the KCA community. Students are encouraged to think creatively, work carefully, and take pride in the process of creating meaningful artwork.
The KCA Visual Arts program not only teaches artistic techniques, but also helps students build patience, focus, self-expression, and appreciation for the beauty and creativity found in God’s creation.
