Betsy graduated in 1991 from the University of Puerto Rico with a B.A. degree in Business Administration. She's ​a former student of a private Christian Academy in Puerto Rico, and mother of two KCA Alumni and one KCA student: Natalia graduated in 2012, Cristina graduated in 2016, and Adriana currently attends. Betsy is also KCA’s former Director of Admissions, where she worked for 14 years. She is currently a certified Christian Life Coach working with her husband Jose as Director of a Christian Life Coaching Training Center in the area of Washington DC. Her husband Jose is also the Pastor at the bilingual (English/Spanish) church Ministerio de Amor en Cristo in Lexington Park, where ​she leads worship, women's ministry and serves the community.


Peter Allen is a 2005 graduate of Messiah College with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and a former student at KCA (then Lexington Park Christian School, 1996-1998). He is employed as a Research Engineer for SRI International, a not-for-profit research and development institute. Peter and his wife Julie (Ralon) Allen (KCA 2001 graduate)  have two children, Annabelle and Matthew at KCA. Peter is an active member and has served as an Elder of BridgeWay Community Church.


John Harris has been a KCA board member since 2003 and has previously served as Chairman, Secretary, and Chairman of the Transportation Committee.  He graduated from Drexel University with a degree in Electrical Engineering and has worked as a civil servant at the Naval Air Warfare Center since 1982.  He currently serves as an Elder and Small Group Coordinator at Faith Bible Church in Mechanicsville, MD.  John and his wife Tita have three children and one daughter-in-law, all of whom have graduated from KCA.

John Green has been working as a Program Manager at the Naval Air System Command since 1999 and retired as a US Navy Captain in 2014 before being hired into Civil Service.  He is a 1987 graduate of the US Naval Academy and has a Master’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School. John and his wife Shari married in 1989, attend SouthPoint Church, and had all four of their children graduate from KCA between 2009 and 2015. He has been a Board member since 2008.


Mike has served for 28 years as a KCA board member.  His expertise is in resource development, financial planning, construction management, and campus development.  He chairs the Board's Property Development committee and serves on the Board's Finance committee.  God has amazed Mike many times by the multitude of blessings He has bestowed on KCA over the school’s 42-year history. He believes God has marvelous plans to bless the lives of many, many more students, their families, and their churches in the future through the ministry of KCA.

Mike is a graduate of Virginia Tech with a BS in Electrical Engineering.  He served the US Navy as a federal employee for 40 years in the development and support of Navy air traffic control and landing systems. He is now retired and enjoys spending time with his wife, Sarah, KCA’s founding administrator.  They have been married for 59 years and have two children. Their three grandchildren all graduated from Briarcrest Christian School near Memphis, TN. Their oldest grandchild is a graduate of Wheaton College.  Their younger grandchildren are undergraduates at Cedarville and Liberty.  Mike and Sarah are members of Redeeming Grace Baptist Church.


Barrett Straub is a 2003 graduate of Messiah College with a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science, and a 2015 graduate of Johns Hopkins University with a Masters of Science in Technical Management focusing on organizational and project management.  He is employed as a supervisory computer scientist at Naval Air Warfare Center: Aircraft Division - Webster Outlying Field supporting Air Traffic Control & Landing Systems.  Barrett and his wife Becky have three children, Lily, Madison, and Logan at KCA. Barrett is a hobbyist theologian and avid board game player.


Mr. Harris is a 1989 graduate of Eastern University with a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education (Math, History). In his career, he has taught in South Philadelphia, served as a youth pastor for five years at Quakertown Bible Fellowship in Pennsylvania, as well as worked and lived in Sweden (Gävle and Falun) for eight years at the Internationella Engelska Skolan, a Swedish school with an English profile. He has one child at KCA, Grace, and two graduated, Isaiah and Emma.
