KCA OnLine will be different for each age level. Elementary School students depend on parent involvement to facilitate and direct assignments more than our older students. For these students it is important that our parents do not stress as they balance working from home with helping with school assignments. Do your best and communicate with your child's teacher. High School students are very independent and are responsible for their own work. After this first week of classes we will evaluate and make adjustments as needed (ex. work load for Elementary School).

Grades 6-12 have KCA accounts. Grades PK-5 - Parents are encouraged to use/create a gmail account (next year we will have KCA accounts for all students)
WHAT ABOUT ASSIGNMENTS? 1. Each classroom teacher will communicate their guidelines for assignments, due dates and where to get information. 2. Emphasize to students that these are school days, which count towards Quarter 4. 3. Faculty and students are required to check email and RenWeb every day for assignments, questions and instructions. 4. Attendance will be taken by submitted work each week. 5. Faculty will have a combination of video instruction (using Google Hangouts) and live sessions. Live instruction should be scheduled in accordance with our regular 2019-2020 Block Schedule for grades 6-12. 6. Middle School and HIgh School faculty should be available online during morning break (T, W, TH, F 10:30-11:00) for questions.
KCA OnLine is a new method of education. Obviously it is not our regular classroom instruction, but it is enough to keep our students active and learning so they do not lose ground and can complete enough material to finish quarter 4 and the 2019-2020 school year.
