Mr. Gardiner is a graduate of Elizabethtown College and the University of Phoenix, from which he holds degrees in Music Education and Education (Curriculum and Technology). He has taught high school band and orchestra, as well as elementary band and general music in Harford, Charles, and St. Mary's Counties. He is a member of Grace Church - Waldorf where he sings in the choir, plays trombone/tuba in the orchestra, and is the pianist, guitarist and bassist for the praise band. In his free time he enjoys writing music and fiction.
A graduate of University of West Florida, Shari Green has taught Computer at KCA for 15 years and serves as the Yearbook Advisor. She is married to John and has four children, all KCA graduates. She attends Southpoint Church and enjoys visiting her kids, working in the yard, eating out, and enjoying the outdoors.
Mrs. Hess is a graduate of Shippensburg State College (PA) and the University of Maryland, from which she has earned degrees in Library Science, Math, and Elementary Education. She spent 7.5 years as librarian in Baltimore Co. and St. Mary’s Co. elementary schools. After homeschooling her three children she started in 2005 at KCA as a substitute. Her first full-time year she taught a 5/6 combo, and the next year a sixth grade class. For several years she was a part-time librarian and taught upper school math and grammar. She is now the full-time librarian and continues to tutor and run the KCA Bookstore.
Allison McGolrick holds a Bachelor’s degree in English with a special emphasis in Creative Writing and Theater Arts minor from Queens University of Charlotte in North Carolina. She has a strong background in music, especially vocal performance. While in school, she earned certification as a private writing tutor. Before coming to teach at KCA, Mrs. McGolrick worked for 4 years as a private tutor, in North Carolina and in Maryland; for one year, she taught Drama and American History at the Homeschool Christian Academy. She has been active in the Southern Maryland theater community since 2001, fulfilling various roles onstage and off. One of her most well-known theatrical credits is her work as Director of St. Mary’s County Rec & Parks Summerstock program from 2009 to 2013. Currently, Mrs. McGolrick teaches English, Social Studies and Drama for upper school students. She is certificated as a teacher through ACSI.
Kelsey Reichard is a graduate of Liberty University with a Kinesiology Health & Physical Education degree. She started working for KCA in 2011 during the first year of summer camp. She has been working at KCA’s summer camp ever since, in charge of the Counselor staff. This will be her sixth year teaching Physical Education and coaching soccer and basketball at KCA.
Kayla Martin holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Central Michigan University. She was born and raised in Michigan and moved to Maryland after living in California for a few years. Most recently she taught at Spring Ridge Middle School until making her home at KCA, where she teaches Home Economics, Art, and is a lower school Aide. A creative artist, she specializes in sewing custom clothing. In her free time she enjoys reading a good book and crocheting.
