School Board

The King’s Christian Academy operates under the direction of a School Board. The following individuals are current Board Members.

John Harris, P.E.  - Chairman, Board of Directors

John has served as Board Chairman since July 2006. He has been a KCA board for ten years, and has previously served as Secretary and as Chairman of the Transportation Committee.

John earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University. He has worked as a civil servant at the Naval Air Warfare Center for the past 30 years. John served in both Latin America and Europe as a short term missionary. He and his wife, Tita, met in England while working with Operation Mobilization among Asian immigrants. He later went on to work with church planting teams in Spain and with Muslims in Philadelphia. He currently serves as an Elder, Worship Leader, and Small Group Leader at Faith Bible Church. John and Tita have three children, one who has graduated from KCA and two who currently attend.

Dean Eyres – Treasurer

Dean has served as Board Treasurer since July 2007.  He has been a KCA
board member for seven years, and also serves Chairman of the Finance
and Audit Committees and is a member of the Property Development
Committee.

Dean has a BS in Mechanical Engineering and an MS in Systems and
Controls Engineering.  He has served in the U.S. Air Force and worked
in the Defense Industry for 32 years, supporting NAVAIR for the past
14 of those years. Dean and his wife, Jan, met in college and
currently serve in several roles at Leonardtown Baptist Church.  They
have two children, both have graduated from KCA.

Pastor Henry Briscoe

Pastor Henry Briscoe was recently nominated in October 2012 as a KCA board member. Pastor Briscoe is the founder & pastor of a non-denominational church, the House of Disciple’s International Church, located in Lexington Park, Md. He is married to his beautiful wife Deborah of 21 years and they have a son Rashad, who is currently a senior at KCA.

He owns and operates a small business, is the Assistant Director and on the Board of Director’s at the St. Mary’s Caring Soup Kitchen, and is one of the Lead Ministers for the Southern Md. Prison Ministry.  He also spends countless hours encouraging and ministering to family members, friends, non-profit organizations, school officials, public servant leaders, the homeless and both believers and non-believers.

Pastor Briscoe has previously served in the Church of God Ministry as an Assistant Pastor, Head Elder, Lay Minister Leader, and Head Deacon; he believes now more than ever in servant-hood, which is why still even today he serves from the “Pulpit to the Plumbing”.  He resigned in 2003 as a Department of Defense Contractor from the positions of Environmental Engineer & Technical Lead. He holds an Associate’s degree in Ministry while currently foregoing his biblical education and is in the process of completing his combined Bachelor-Master’s degree in Biblical Leadership in Ministry and Christian Counseling.
