When Can I Enroll My Child?
Pre-K students begin their elementary education in a wonderful, nurturing environment! To enroll in KCA's Pre-K program, students must be four years old by September 1 of the school year.
To enrich our curriculum, Pre-K students enjoy weekly Music, PE, Art, and Computer classes.
Welcome to Pre-Kindergarten at The King's Christian Academy!
In a nurturing and playful environment, caring and committed teachers launch a child’s Christian educational experience by stimulating thinking skills, while addressing individual learning needs. The curriculum includes reading and writing, math, science, art, physical education, music and Bible.
Our youngest students also visit the computer lab for hands-on instruction on state-of-the-art equipment. Students are given ample opportunities for listening, speaking, writing, drawing and painting, and imaginative play. Class sizes are small, and there is a full time assistant teacher in each room.
What Happens in Pre-K?
We have students of all abilities begin their school year with us. Some come to us knowing how to sound out words. Others may have a grasp of numbers. Many come to us with a love of learning! Our days are filled with exciting projects as we learn about the weather, days of the week, months of the year, seasons, and our community. We learn what sound each letter makes, and we practice our writing skills each week. Our students learn basic math concepts and how to "add one" or "take away" as we introduce the topics of addition and subtraction.
