2013 AUCTION KICK-OFF MEETING
FEBRUARY 5 at 9 A.M.
If you can believe it, we’re getting ready to start our auction meetings again! By beginning in February, we can ensure that we’ve had enough time to hear feedback from the previous year and incorporate new suggestions.
This past year, we took a leap and really changed up our format. If you had a chance to attend, you saw that we added a catered dinner and decorated our gymnasium to create a more formal atmosphere. The consensus after the fact was that parents and supporters really enjoyed the change, so we’re going to do it again this year!
If you have an idea for this year’s event, I want to encourage you to attend one of our upcoming auction meetings! Beginning in early February, we’ll be meeting regularly to establish our theme and beginning our soliciting efforts. We had many (many!) wonderful suggestions come out our early meetings last year — it’s a great event to be a part of. (And coming to these meetings does count as volunteer time!)
Please consider attending our first meeting on Tuesday, February 5 at 9 a.m. (just after the start of the school day). Depending on how many of us are able to attend, we may meet in the multi-purpose room, or just right in the administrative office area.
Feel free to bring any suggestions — or actual samples, items, etc. — to the meeting to show us. We look forward to seeing you there!
We are thrilled to announce that our auction raised nearly $28,000 for KCA! Thank you to the many parents and community sponsors who donated their time, talent and products to make our auction such a wonderful event. Additionally, we are grateful to our Auction Committee for their devotion to creating a memorable evening. We hope you’ll join us again next year!
