We are so glad that you are considering The King's Christian Academy for your child
It is our desire to partner with you and your family in the spiritual and academic education of your child. We encourage every prospective family to call our Admissions Office at 301-994-3080, or you can request an information packet through our website. After looking over the packet, we ask you to call and make an appointment to meet with the Admissions Director so that you can learn about our program and admissions process and take a tour of facilities. This appointment is your time to ask any questions about school or admissions process.
The Admissions Office is happy to set up visitation for prospective students or their parents who desire to visit in our classes. This visit allows opportunity to get a close-up view of a typical day at KCA. Students visiting in the middle and high school would "shadow" one of our students. After submitting an application, the Admissions Office will walk each family through the complete process.
The King's Christian Academy is committed to a Biblical philosophy of education which integrates Christian principles and scriptural truths with the academic and social experiences of every student. We endeavor to enroll students who will exhibit Biblical values of love for others as well as a general desire to learn. Students seeking admission are evaluated on the basis of their report cards, admission questionnaires (upper grades), interviews, and overall potential to perform satisfactorily at KCA. All incoming students (1st-12th) will be required to take a placement test. These tests allow us to understand your child's current academic strengths and weaknesses and place them in the appropriate classes. Testing takes approximately one to two hours, depending upon the grade level. Afterward, a teacher will speak with you directly about the results.
Kindergarten Admissions: Children must be five years of age on or before September 1 to be eligible for admittance in August that year. All students entering kindergarten will be screened to ascertain their readiness for the kindergarten program.
The King’s Christian Academy’s enrollment is traditionally open to the public in March for the upcoming school year. Current families are given priority and begin enrolling several weeks prior to the public. Class space is first come, first serve. Once a class is full, a wait-list is established.
Students are accepted throughout the year when space is available. This is to serve families relocating to the area during the school year, such as Military families.
If you are interested in applying for admission, click the apply button below. After submitting your online admissions application, you must submit the enrollment forms to the right and fees to the Admissions office within one week.
